Major Food Donors

The Redwood Empire Food Bank acquires and distributes $65 million dollars worth of groceries annually—healthy foods, staple pantry items, and fresh, nutrient-rich produce.

The majority of donated food comes from regional and national manufacturers, food retailers, and local and regional farmers through our affiliation with other food banks and our parent organization, Feeding America.

How do I become a major food donor?

Reduce food waste, save costs, generate corporate goodwill, and make a difference in the lives of our neighbors facing food insecurity. For more information about how to become a food donor, please call the Redwood Empire Food Bank’s Food Resources Manager, Colin Davidson, at 707-523-7900 ext. 148 or email cdavidson@refb.org. The Redwood Empire Food Bank sincerely thanks all our major food donors who share our commitment to ending hunger in our community. Special thanks to the food donors who helped feed our neighbors in need last year:

Feeding Our Community Through Sponsorship

Joyce Raley Teel and former Raley’s president Chuck Collings founded Food For Families, a 501(c)(3) organization, in 1986 when they recognized they had the responsibility and ability to feed our communities through partnership.

The contributions provided by both the Raley’s Food Rescue and the Food For Families programs are invaluable and vital to the Redwood Empire Food Bank’s mission of ending hunger in our community.

In 2021 alone, both initiatives provided the Redwood Empire Food Bank with enough food for 368,522 meals for our neighbors facing food insecurity.

We are grateful to the team at Raley’s for their ongoing support and dedication to helping families in need in Sonoma County and beyond.
