When protein is the most expensive item on the plate, many low-income people are forced to go without it. To help put much-needed healthy protein on the table, longtime rancher Cheryl LaFranchi founded the Range to Table program and partnered with the Redwood Empire Food Bank over 20 years ago. This program provides locally raised, high-quality meat to thousands facing hunger and food insecurity right here in Sonoma County.
Feeding Our Community Through Sponsorship
Joyce Raley Teel and former Raley’s president Chuck Collings founded Food For Families, a 501(c)(3) organization, in 1986 when they recognized they had the responsibility and ability to feed our communities through partnership.
The contributions provided by both the Raley’s Food Rescue and the Food For Families programs are invaluable and vital to the Redwood Empire Food Bank’s mission of Ending Hunger in Our Community.
