Join us in the Redwood Empire Food Bank kitchen. You’ll work closely with Chef to create snacks that can be consumed on-the-spot for those picking up groceries at our distribution sites. A valid California Food Handlers Card is necessary to volunteer in the kitchen. To receive a link to sign up for a Kitchen Collective volunteer shift, simply email a copy of your card to: eberry@refb.org
Warehouse Shifts: Children are welcome to volunteer as long as they are accompanied by an adult at all times. Children 14 years of age and older can volunteer independently.
Kitchen Collective Shifts: Volunteers must be at least 15 years old.
For additional information about volunteering and answers to many of the questions our volunteers have about what to expect during their time with us check out our Volunteer Handbook (3.8MB PDF) (Spanish version here – 3.1MB PDF).
