Spread The Love Peanut Butter Drive

Our Spread the Love Food and Fund Drive is happening throughout February. At the Redwood Empire Food Bank, we’re on a mission to collect 20,000 jars of peanut butter by the end of the month. But we can’t do it without your help.

“Because of its nutritional value, long shelf life, and widespread popularity, peanut butter is a much needed item at our food bank.” – Erika Carstensen, Director of Supply Chain & Analytics

Together, we can ensure community members have access to this beloved pantry staple. Let’s Spread the Love, one jar at a time.

4 WAYS TO SPREAD THE LOVE:

  1. Donate Funds: You won’t believe how far we can stretch a dollar! For every $1 donated, we can provide $3 worth of groceries to neighbors facing hunger. With our wholesale buying power, we can purchase a jar of peanut butter for just $1.40. So $50 = 35 Jars of Peanut Butter; $100 = 71 Jars of Peanut Butter! Click here to donate now.

  2. Ding-Dong Donate: Canvass your neighborhood for peanut butter donations! Leave these informational flyers at your neighbors’ doorsteps requesting they fill a bag with peanut butter. On a specified date, they’ll leave it back on their doorstep for you to collect and deliver to our headquarters. Easy peasy.

  3. Host a Collection Bin: Host a collection bin throughout the month of February—it’s simple! Set up your own bin (decorated boxes, laundry baskets, or plastic storage bins all work great) at your location. We’ll provide awareness flyers, signage, and support along the way. Once your drive is complete, donations can be dropped off at our headquarters.

  4. Deliver Donations: Bring peanut butter donations directly to us! Drop-offs are welcome at our headquarters Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. (For large or weighed donations, please deliver before 3 PM.)

You can also mail donations via Costco, Amazon, Instacart, DoorDash, or your preferred online food delivery service.

Or, you can bring food donations to one of our barrel locationsOliver’s Market, Whole Foods, Santa Rosa Grocery Outlet, or a Sonoma County Library.

We hope you’ll help us reach 20,000 jars of peanut butter by February 28! Thank you for supporting our mission to End Hunger in Our Community.

Fun Fact: Oliver’s Market will be providing discounts on select peanut butter in support of Spread The Love! Be sure to visit one of their locations and pick up an extra jar.
