Empty Bowls 2020

Join us April 25th, 2020 for the 10th Annual Empty Bowls Gala and Fundraiser

Each year, we transform the Redwood Empire Food Bank into a beautiful venue fit for one of our community's most anticipated galas. Guests enjoy a beautiful dinner, award-winning wines, and revel in the opportunity to see artisans at work, crafting bowls of wood, clay, glass, and other materials at special stations throughout the warehouse. Local artists come together to produce a variety of handmade bowls, which are then offered at auction to support the 1 in 6 neighbors who face hunger every day.

"To eliminate hunger in an entire, vast region, that’s a tall order. The recipe for success looks to include generous amounts of caring, creativity and commitment — and also enticing, entertaining and inspiring community charitable galas like the one Saturday night that lit up the Redwood Empire Food Bank."
— the Press Democrat, 2019 Empty Bowls

Join us for this uplifting evening of artistic demonstration, delicious food, award-winning wines, and philanthropy to help us reach our $1,000,000 goal to end hunger in our community.

Proceeds from the evening’s live auction and paddle-raise donations will fortify and expand the Redwood Empire Food Bank safety net, which catches people who fall due to personal or public financial crises, disasters such as fires and floods, and other hardships.

Limited corporate sponsorships are still available. For more information please contact Lisa Cannon at 707-523-7900, extension 133.

Help Us Fulfill Our Mission to End Hunger in our Community

The Redwood Empire Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization serving north coastal California from Sonoma County to the Oregon border. Since 1987, the Redwood Empire Food Bank has been helping our community through 11 innovative programs under three strategic initiatives – Every Child, Every Day, Senior Security and the Neighborhood Hunger Network.

We respond to the immediate needs of people seeking help through the provision of healthy food and nutrition education. We pursue long-term solutions to food insecurity through public policy and the development of partnerships with civic, faith-based, corporate and government organizations and, most importantly, individuals in our community.

Last year we served 1 in 6 people in Sonoma, Humboldt, Del Norte, Mendocino, and Lake counties through our three Hunger Initiatives.

Help us make an even bigger impact—and reach our $1 million goal—at our 10th annual Empty Bowls Dinner and Auction, April 25th, 2020.
