Help Us Collect 15,000 Cans of Protein Between August 1 – August 31, 2025!
When protein is the most expensive item on the plate, many low-income people are forced to go without it. Protein is a powerhouse nutrient that helps children focus in school, gives seniors energy to stay active, and supports families trying to make ends meet. Canned proteins like tuna, chicken, and Spam are shelf-stable, nutritious, and needed at our food distributions.

We can stretch your dollar further!
No cans? No problem—donate dollars instead! The Redwood Empire Food Bank can get a can of protein for just 85 cents. That means your monetary gift goes even further.
$25 = 30 cans of protein
$50 = 60 cans of protein
What to Donate:
We’re looking for shelf-stable, unopened canned protein items like:
- Tuna
- Chicken
