Warehouse Support

Warehouse volunteer activities include gleaning and packaging fresh produce for individuals and families throughout our community, assembling grocery boxes for seniors in need, and sorting donated staple pantry items for distribution throughout Sonoma County. Shifts are typically two-hours long.

Volunteers are needed in the REFB warehouse throughout the week at the following times:
Monday – Friday, between 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Monday – Thursday, between 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
2nd & 4th Saturday of each month from 9:00 am – Noon.

Promote workplace camaraderie, generate corporate goodwill in our community, and boost company morale while supporting our neighbors facing hunger.

Organizations & Clubs

Spend an afternoon in the REFB warehouse with your church group, soccer team, chess club, or dance troupe, and join together in the fight against hunger. Experience team-building challenges, strengthen friendships, and help nourish our community.

Teachers, instill the value of volunteerism and community giving in our younger generations while packaging fresh produce into family-size quantities in the REFB warehouse. University students, foster new relationships with classmates, bolster your service hours, and build community with your campus club, your sorority or fraternity, your dorm or house, while helping to end hunger in Sonoma County.

Friends & Family

Spend quality time with your nearest and dearest while fueling a healthier, more hopeful community. Encourage friendly competition while packaging nutrient-rich food boxes for the REFB Diabetes Wellness Program, strengthen family ties while gleaning and packaging fresh, seasonal produce for families in need throughout Sonoma County.

Children between the ages of 12 and 13 are welcome to volunteer as long as they are accompanied by an adult at all times. Children 14 years of age and older can volunteer independently.

First time volunteers can drop-in to the REFB for a 30-minute New Volunteer Orientation to learn more about various volunteer positions. Orientations are held Monday through Friday at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm at 3990 Brickway Boulevard in Santa Rosa. Orientations can also be arranged by appointment, Monday through Thursday, at 4:00 pm.
