Summer Lunch serves lunch to children in Sonoma County at 40 sites in high-need areas, providing children the fuel needed to grow and play during the summer months. Many of the sites incorporate enrichment activities, which promote creative and critical thinking, ensuring young minds stay active and engaged during the academic break.
Over 1,300 children are served a healthy lunch every day throughout the 10 weeks of the program. Over 39,000 meals and more than 32,000 pounds of fresh produce are distributed to children who risk experiencing hunger over the summer months.
