Why host a Food & Funds Drive?
Food drives make a critical difference in the lives of 82,000 of our neighbors facing food insecurity, immediately stocking our warehouse shelves with staple food items for daily distribution to REFB programs and our 177 charitable partner organizations throughout Sonoma County. You’ve probably seen our barrels in businesses in your community, filled with cans and boxes of non-perishable food donations for our neighbors in need. Hosting a food drive is the most direct way to partner with the REFB and join in the fight against hunger in Sonoma County.
How do I get started?

The REFB provides food collection barrels large enough to hold 150 to 200 pounds of food, as well as food collection boxes, countertop money collection cans, bags, and much more. Check out our online tool kit for more information and helpful hints, and check back often for updates and new materials. All materials are free of charge.
The REFB will deliver as many food collection barrels as you need. If ordering more than 10 at one time, please schedule your drive several weeks in advance. The REFB will pick up full barrels and replace them during the duration of your drive. You are welcome to run your food drive for as long as you wish. Many organizations and businesses choose to host food drives year round.
